Group Life

The Everyone-In-One Small Group Initiative

What is it?

Growth is not an option, it’s an imperative. When Paul told the church at Ephesus to “in all things grow up into Him who is the head” (Eph. 4:15), he was telling EVERYONE to be “built up” into a unity of faith and knowledge. He was teaching that EVERYONE has an important role to fill in the growth of the church. If the Kingdom of God was going to grow, EVERYONE must grow. That doesn’t happen in a vacuum! It happens in GROUPS! The Everyone-In-One initiative is based on a principle of EVERYONE being involved IN-ONE (at least) group. It is important to the growth of God’s Kingdom. Guess what? You are one of those "everyones"!!

Theme Verse
"So that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13).

Growth Groups

Growth Groups meet on campus for approximately one hour on Sunday evenings at 4:45pm.
Built Up to Unity
Ephesians 4:11-15 teaches how Christ equips his people “so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith.” We are all in process of growing to become the “mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” You are part of the growth of this body! Join a Growth Group so that the Body of Christ may be:
  • Built UpUnified in faith
  • Unified in knowledge
  • And matured in every respect

Community Groups

Community groups meet off campus in people’s homes (or a designated location) for the purpose of building community around the study of God’s Word. These groups may focus on one of the four areas of Group Life (theological, missional, relational, restorational), but all areas are present.

Active Groups:
  • The Acts 2 Home Group - Lanman House, Thursdays at 7:30pm
  • Women's Bible Study - Sharon Baptist Church, Tuesdays at 9:30am with Marsha Murrel
  • Mom's Bible Study - Sharon Baptist Church, Wednesdays at 10:00am. Jennifer Squires is leading a Beth Moore study on Esther.
  • The SOS Community Group (South of Sharon) - Rotating Locations, 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm
