Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
Sharon Baptist Church is dedicated to The Great Commission. Not only do we believe in tithing over 10% of our budget, but we raise money over and above this to bring God’s word to various parts of the world. Matthew 28 says that Jesus came to the disciples and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
Acts 1 also records Jesus’ final appearance to the disciples before his ascension. It says, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). As followers of Christ, we are called to be His witnesses.
Current Missions Project: Christmas in Honduras
It's time to bless some kids in Honduras! We are asking you to make a monetary donation, and we will do the Christmas shopping in Honduras. We have budgeted $200 per child in order to provide them with the necessities (clothes, shoes, toiletries, books) as well as a special gift of their choosing. You can sign up for all the slots for each child, or just pick a couple depending on your budget. We will also be blessing all of the external students that are scholarshipped to New Life Children's Home School! Learn more by clicking the button below!
