Group Life @ Sharon

What is the Everyone-in-One Initiative?

Growth is not an option, it’s an imperative. When Paul told the church at Ephesus to “in all things grow up into Him who is the head” (Eph. 4:15), he was telling EVERYONE to be “built up” into a unity of faith and knowledge. He was teaching that EVERYONE has an important role to fill in the growth of the church. If the Kingdom of God was going to grow, EVERYONE must grow. That doesn’t happen in a vacuum! It happens in GROUPS!

In order to accomplish our mission of developing disciples and nurturing a loving community of faith, each person must do his part. The body of believers must join together and be built up so that we are equipped to serve and share the gospel with south Charlotte and the world. Ephesians 4:16 says when the body joins together in Christ it grows and builds itself up in love “as each part does its work.” The Everyone-In-One initiative is based on a principle of EVERYONE being involved IN-ONE (at least) group. It is important to the growth of God’s Kingdom. Guess what? You are one of those "everyones"!!

Sharon is providing multiple ways to be part of a small groups so that you may be "built up" in unity, faith, and knowledge:

You are One of the "Everyones"

Now it's time to find a group. Each one of these groups is designed to provide for the growth of the church and the building-up of the Body in four areas:

  • Theologically
  • Restorationally
  • Relationally
  • Missionally

God has called each of us to be involved in all four areas. Involvement in Group Life helps us fulfill that calling.
